I. Readying the Ship
Initial Intake Meetings
“A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.”
— John A. Shedd, Salt from My Attic (1928)
Every great voyage begins in the harbor, with careful preparation and a clear understanding of the course ahead. But before we set sail on your College Advising Voyage, we must first ensure that the ship is sound, the crew aligned, and the compass calibrated. This begins with two key orientation meetings: the Student Intake and the Parent Intake. These independently held meetings serve as our opportunity to chart the waters together, gaining insight into how both students and parents envision the journey beyond the horizon of High School graduation.
