PJ grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, attending Menlo School, where he graduated with highest honors. His academic journey then took him to Yale University, where he majored in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. While at Yale, PJ excelled academically and pursued a passion for music, joining the renowned a cappella group, the Yale Whiffenpoofs. PJ graduated in the Spring of 2023, writing his thesis on government AI usage and the tension between political legitimacy and AI explainability.

Since graduating, PJ has helped dozens of high school and college students achieve their academic goals. With sound experience in academic and test prep mentoring, he loves breaking down both simple and complex concepts, guiding students toward a deep and functional understanding. PJ’s tutoring philosophy centers around sparking excitement and curiosity in his students, motivating them to tackle challenges head-on.

When he's not tutoring or making music, you can find PJ writing songs, discussing politics, or exploring the stunning mountains and beaches of Los Angeles.
