Michael is a Los Angeles-based tutor, educator and storyteller. He specializes in SAT, ACT and ISEE prep along with English, Writing and Verbal studies for both high school and middle school aged students. Additionally, Michael enjoys helping students craft their college admissions essays.
Michael has an extensive background in education, having taught at Yale University, The Willows School, and Garry Marshall Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as Stagecoach and the non-profit PENCIL in New York. From 2014-2019, he worked to develop All Star Code, now the largest tech education non-profit for young men of color in the U.S. Prior to that, he was a tutor with Big Apple Tutoring in New York.
A graduate of USC’s schools of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts, Michael is also an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and theater director, with work spanning Broadway, novels, and studio films. He’s a lifelong vegetarian, but a certified cultural carnivore when it comes to exploring diverse experiences and perspectives.
