SAT Test Prep
The SAT remains the cornerstone of college admissions testing, assessing students’ ability to read closely, write precisely, and think mathematically. It rewards conceptual fluency and strategic insight — qualities GEO students cultivate across all disciplines.
At Grey Eyed Owl, we begin SAT preparation in the winter of 10th grade, ensuring ample time for mastery. But we do not teach shortcuts or gimmicks. Instead, we focus on deep understanding: of argument structure, of algebraic relationships, of pacing and logic. Tutors teach students to see the architecture of each section, recognizing patterns and traps through careful, deliberate practice. Students take their first exam in March of 11th grade, with opportunities to retest in May or June. By the time they sit for the official exam, they are prepared not just to perform — but to shine.
