Hailing from North East England, Charlotte graduated with a first-class honours degree in Chemistry from Durham University. Throughout her academic journey, Charlotte balanced her scientific studies with her passion for dance, earning numerous awards in solo and group competitions across the country. In addition to her degree, Charlotte obtained teaching qualifications in ballet, tap, modern, and acrobatic dance, which she shared by teaching at the local dance school she had attended since age three, helping to inspire the next generation of dancers.
Following her undergraduate studies, Charlotte became a secondary school Science teacher on England's north-east coast, while simultaneously pursuing a Master’s in Education Leadership and Learning from Northumbria University. Her dissertation, “Increasing Students' Engagement in Science and STEM Subjects Using a School-Wide Event to Promote STEM Learning Beyond the Scope of the Curriculum,” showcased her dedication to innovative teaching methods.
After five years in the North East, Charlotte relocated to the North West to be closer to the picturesque Lake District, where she now enjoys the scenic country roads and sublime mountainous views.
Charlotte’s path hasn’t been without personal challenges. After being diagnosed with kidney disease, she spent time on dialysis before receiving a life-changing kidney transplant from her mother in 2019. Now, Charlotte captains the Female Track team for Team GB Transplant and competes in running events at the worldwide Transplant Olympic Games. Alongside her athletic training and running competitions, Charlotte tutors students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science; liaises with parents as a Family Concierge; oversees curriculum development and syllabus construction; and supervises engagements as the GEO Student Success and Tutor Manager.
